Van Cleef Engineering Associates (VCEA) is a mid-sized consulting civil engineering firm with offices in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. The firm provides structural, transportation, geotechnical, surveying, construction inspection, land development and municipal engineering services. Currently, our Doylestown office is seeking resumes from qualified candidates for a civil engineer position.

Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering, EIT preferred;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in all facets of design and plan preparation for Subdivisions and Land Developments.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Land Desktop or Civil 3D is required;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Word and Excel;
  • Must have excellent ability to communicate with clients, contractors, agencies and other design professionals within the firm;

We currently have a position for a Land Surveyor Technician based out of our Central New Jersey offices.  Only NJ and Eastern Pennsylvania candidates will be considered.

 

Requirements & Responsibilities:

 

·         Party Chief experience in all facets of boundary, topographic and construction surveys;

·         Familiarity with AutoCAD (both Land Development Desktop and Civil 3D);

·         Familiarity with Trimble Total Stations and Ranger Data Collectors as well as GPS is desirable;

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills and self-motivation;

·         Professional licensure is not required;

·         Position will involve field work and travel between our offices.

Requirements:

Responsibilities include bridge design, bridge inspection, overseeing the work and mentoring of junior staff and draftsman for the preparation of plans, design calculations, and cost estimates.  Candidate shall have strong design skills and be capable of performing load rating, structural analysis, and design of highway bridges and culverts in LRFD.  Requires knowledge of NJTA & NJDOT policies and procedures. Candidate will work directly with the Project Engineer and Project Managers to ensure that work is completed correctly, on time, and within budget.  Candidate may be required to perform routine and in-depth bridge inspections. Willingness to provide extra hours to complete tasks or meet deadlines is required.

Qualifications
:

  • BSCE
  • 7 to 12 years of bridge design/inspection experience.  
  • PE in NJ
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous consulting engineering experience with bridge Inspection, design, and rehabilitation/repairs of existing bridges is required.
  • Must be proficient with the AASHTO LRFD/ASD and NJDOT/NJTA design specifications, PennDOT design software and STAAD-PRO etc..
  • Proficient with MicroStation.
  • Certified Bridge Inspection Team Leader for NJDOT a plus.
  • Experience with NJTA a plus.
