Van Cleef Engineering Associates has recently enhanced their structural engineering capabilities by merging with Cherry, Weber & Associates in January 2001. The merger brings over thirty (30) years of structural engineering experience to the firm. A full range of services are provided including the design and analysis of bridges and retaining walls, NBIS bridge safety inspections, municipal engineering, and the construction inspection of highway and bridge projects. The structural design unit has completed plans and specifications for over fifty (50) bridge projects ranging from small box culverts to the rehabilitation of multi-span bridges in excess of 600' in length for state, county and private clients. The firm has recently received an award from the Consulting Engineers Council of New Jersey for the rehabilitation of a large historic truss bridge built in 1892. Bridge safety inspections are performed to satisfy federal regulations which require State, County and any other agencies owning bridges with spans in excess of 20' to be inspected every two (2) years. Cherry, Weber & Associates has inspected over 1,800 bridges for state and county governments ranging from slabs to trusses, and structure lengths from 20 feet to greater than 1,000 feet in length. |
